Welcome to Borderless Gifts |
|
Borderless Gifts is a web space established by Pema Wachen in a joint effort of his family and many of his friends, in Duncan, to create the possibility where friends and people who are generous and passionate about helping others can make the difference together, with people who are in our reach. Currently, we are committed to support a Tibetan primary school with 90 kids, a Tibetan medical clinic, and a five year old disabled Tibetan nomad girl. Please find the details in Aid Projects. We hope to reach people whom we can help in our community too in the future.
In this web space we also offer an online shop where people can purchase gifts to help support the projects. 20-80% of gift proceeds will be directed to the Aid projects. Also, 100% of all donations go to the Aid Projects. All fundraising events and things you can do to help will be posted on this site.
Borderless Gifts is non-political, and is also not a charity. It represents the Tibetan community in the Cowichan Valley. We are here to participate in the role of community building, friendship making, and cultural exploration.
On the other hand, Borderless Gifts is a web-space where we connect with people who care about the services we provide. We do our best to preserve and share the rich cultural heritage of Tibet.
We run the Duncan Buddhist Society where we facilitate Buddhist services, teachings, and counseling. We also provide teachings of Tibetan language, story-telling and other workshops.
We welcome everyone to meet us, to try some Tibetan food, to hear some Tibetan music, and to share some Tibetan stories. We are very proud to be in Canada and be a part of this multicultural society. We are happy to convince you to join us in this web-space. We express our deepest appreciation for allowing us to share a part of life's journey. We cherish respect, friendship, and honesty. May all beings be happy!
